This is from the 1997 Disneyana convention. It's a black and white pin of Pete from Steamboat Willie facing right, hunched over, with the numbers "1997" under him in black.

 

The pin protector in the back is a large tie tac back.

 

Pete is a villainous cat who goes by many different names: Peg-Leg Pete, Black Pete, Big Bad Pete, Bad Pete and just plain Pete.
