40th Anniversary of Walt Disney World Announcement pin. On November 15, 1965, Walt Disney, Roy O. Disney, and Florida Governor Hayden Burns announced the plans for a $100 million Disney resort project in Central Florida. This LE 1500 pin features a photo of Walt Disney during the 1965 press conference, and features Mickey Mouse pin-on-pin over a map of Florida. Mickey points to the location of Walt Disney World, similar to Walt Disney during his film about the Florida Project. The banner behind Walt reads "Florida Welcomes Walt Disney".
