Front Description
This pin was part of a map/pin set released in 1990 at the Disney Store to commemorate the 35th Anniversary of Disneyland. There were four GWP pins which completed the map, and each pin represented a different land in the park. The four GWPS were Pluto for Tomorrowland, Donald for Adventureland, Minnie for Fantasyland, and Goofy for Frontierland. The Mickey Mouse pin was only availabe with the purchase of the map. At the time, it was considered a very difficult pin to find, given its limited release with the map.
This pin is round on the top and square on the bottom. The top shows the smiling face of MICKEY MOUSE wearing a straw boater and dapper suit. Beneath him, a scrolling ribbon reads, MAIN STREET, and under that, 35 YEARS. The epoxy coating has yellowed with age.
