PP4444    Mickey's Mac Club - Mickey Head Icon - Cast Exclusive

Front Description

This pin says "Mickey's Mac Club" in blue and has a Mickey head icon with rainbow stripes running horizontally across it.

According to www.theapplecollection.com:

“The Mickey's Mac Club pin was made for members of the Macintoch Users' Group at The Walt Disney Studios and Walt Disney Imagineering back in 1991. It was designed and produced by Bruce Gordon, Creative Director for Walt Disney Imagineering. We got a lot of flack from the studio brass about associating the mouse with a commercial product and were forced to change the name (to The Mac Club) and stop giving out the pins.”

This pin was released at a Disney in-house Macintosh Computer use training seminar. According to one who attended, there were approximately only three seminars conducted. This pin was given to attendees who successfully completed the seminar. Circa 1990.

There is NO Disney copyright on the back.
