PP44501    DLR - Dead Men Tell No Tales - POTC - Cast Lanyard Series 4 2006

One of six pins from the POTC set of Cast Lanyard pins in the eighth series that was released at Disneyland. Each cut-out pin features a different Pirates of the Caribbean saying. The small Hidden Mickey icon is in a different place on each pin. Pins were only available by trading with a cast member.
    
This pin features skull and cross bones, Jolly Roger, wearing a pirate hat. One of the cross bones is white the other is the same color of the skull. At the top of the pin a banner says "Dead Men Tell No Tales". A small Hidden Mickey icon is located on the hat on the right side of the pin.
    
The six pins include A Pirate's Life for Me, Avast ye Matey, Dead Men Tell No Tales, Drink up Me 'Arties Yo Ho, Take a Wench For a Bride and Walk the Plank.

The counterfeit version has poor detail around the nose and teeth. The 7 holes or indention's around the nose are not well defined or run together in the counterfeit. The 2 covered teeth on the left side are white in the non-authentic version. The line below the T in Tales is fused together with the T. Some may have dips in the enamel and poor polish. Even the hidden mickey is not well defined in some. The banner tale (the two triangles that hang out after the word "tales") are two different colors. One triangle is the same color as the banner background, one is yellow. They should both be yellow.
