Front Description
This pin is from the DISNEY CHARACTERS ON PORCELAIN series made by Crown Staffordshire or Coalport (English Porcelain makers) somewhere between 1971 and 1986. Each pin is shaped like a small, white porcelain plate and sports a gold rim. On the front of each pin is printed art featuring a Disney animated character on a blue background. The pins were presented in square boxes (same box, regardless of manufacturer) which were covered in brightly colored art of the characters enjoying various out-of-doors activities. On the front of the box, it reads WALT DISNEY CHARACTERS BY [Crown Staffordshire or Coalport]. These same plates were also produced with wall-plate hangers on the back, instead of brooch clasps.
This plate-shaped pin features DAISY DUCK strolling along in her pink shirt and red shoes.
