Front Description
Throughout 2006, Disney released twelve pins on specially designed backer cards that read “Hidden Disney”. The monthly pins were a Limited Edition of 2500 and sold for $10.95/each. These pins have nothing to do with the cast-lanyard pins, known as Hidden Disneys, released since 2020. There is no silver icon on the front, and the numbering on the back refers to this special collection of twelve pins.
(Disney Website Data Sheet) Since October 1, 1971, the Disney Vacation Kingdom has thrilled Guests of all ages by offering magical experiences unmatched throughout the world. With so much to see and do, the Walt Disney Parks & Resorts Pin Team was inspired to create a new Limited Edition pin collection entitled Hidden Disney. This collection celebrates the unique experiences, locations and “Hidden Mickeys” found at the Walt Disney World Resort. “This pin collection celebrates those special places, attractions and experiences that Guests, including myself, have grown to love,” said John Smith, Product Developer for Disney Pin Trading. A new pin will be released on the 8th day of each month through 2006. The pins will have an edition size of 2500 each and will be packaged on specially designed backer cards featuring trivia about that particular “Hidden” selection.
This third pin in the collection (released in March) features Belle and Beast (pin-on-pin element) looking at an open book that Belle's holding. They're standing in front of a glittery window that gives the impression of stained glass (but is not). ("Join Belle for a good book at Belle's Library in the France Pavilion at Epcot. Meet Belle, the Beast and other characters from Disney's 'Beauty and the Beast' at this place." -- Disney website)
