PP45562    DLR - Cast Member Vintage Frontierland Prop Marshal's Badge

Front Description

This metal clasp-back badge is an authentic theme-park prop worn by an actor who during the 1950s and '60s would patrol the streets of Frontierland as a Western marshal and on occasion be required to arrest or shoot it out with a gang of bad guys. Such wonderful live entertainment has not been seen at Disneyland in decades. The badge reads: "Marshal / Socorro County / New Mexico" on the front, and it is incised "W.D.P." (for Walt Disney Productions) on the back. It is from the collection of former Disney artist Fred Kopeitz, who had an outstanding collection of Disney art and memorabilia and Western Americana.

SIZE: approx. 2.125" x 2.625"
