This pin was created to celebrate Walt Disney Day on December 5, 2004 and was to be a Limited Edition pin. This pin is almost exactly like the 2005 version (Pin 42578) in that it features a picture of Walt Disney but the characters include Mickey Mouse, Goofy, Donald Duck, Minnie, and Pluto and is NOT a pin-on-pin as with the 2005 version.

 

This unreleased 2004 version came from the September 2004 Pin event. It was sold during the event's live auction. It comes with a Disney Official Certificate of Authenticity.

 

Walt Disney Day (Walt's birthday) was first established by President of the United States Ronald Reagan on December 5, 1986.

 

There are two different versions of this pin. The design is the same but the year is different. Please check your pin carefully before cataloguing.
