Front Description
One in a series of pins of California Adventure signs. This one is from the Baker's Field Bakery that was the Golden Zephyr train in the entrance plaza and is a replica of the restaurant's sign. White steam rises from a green and yellow coffee cup on a green and yellow saucer. A brown muffin sits in front of the cup of coffee. BAKER'S FIELD in yellow sits on a blue arch above the food. Bakery is written across the muffin top.
Baker’s Field Bakery looked like a railroad coach on the outside and somewhat like a railroad station on the inside. It was part of the California Zephyr train, parked at Sunshine Plaza. The entrance was right between Bur-r-r Bank Ice Cream and Engine-Ears Toys. Baker’s Field Bakery at Disney’s California Adventure debuted as part of the new park on February 8, 2001. The bakery’s final day of operation was July 31, 2011, when it closed for the construction of Buena Vista Street. The name of Baker’s Field Bakery was a play on the city of Bakersfield.
Pin measurements: 1-1/4 x 1-3/4 inches.
