The Walt Disney Originals Collection pays tribute to Walt Disney's pioneering achievements in great family entertainment. A new Limited Edition pin will be released each month throughout 2006.

 

This Limited Edition pin celebrates the first Disney merchandise item - a Mickey Mouse children's pencil tablet. Walt Disney licensed this item in 1929 following a chance meeting in a New York hotel lobby. The pin contains a pin-on-pin pencil below the image of Walt Disney. The Mickey Mouse Tablet is hinged. When opened, it features a sketch of Mickey Mouse.
