From what I was able to glean from the Wall Street Journal online, without paying the fee, I got this - "Disney recently rolled out an internal system for handling payroll, accounting and other tasks. It was named "Project Tomorrowland." The article was dated 2/13/04 (which jives with the date). I was told this pin was given to cast members. Apparently, from what I gather, it was a pin issued at the corporate level to the inner accounting bureaucracy who participated in this project. There is at least one other version of this pin - where this pin states "WAVE 1" (or "WAVE 5") the other (identical) pin states "GLOBAL TEMPLATE."
Project Tomorrowland consisted of 5 waves. Upon the conclusion of each wave, the participant was given a pin (Wave 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5). At the end of the project, those who participated in all waves were given a frame to put the pins in. There also is a three-pin limited framed set (template, waves 1 and 2).
