Front Description
whimsical Dopey and hapless Grumpy gold-finished character pin, one in a series of sensational star-gazing pins. Enamel cloisonné. Imported.
The two dwarfs are in the center of a gold star. Dopey is facing front with his arms spread and his tongue sticking out. Grumpy is behind, looking over his shoulder with his usual angry expression.
SIZE: approx. 1 1/2" W x 1 7/16" H (3.9cm x 3.6cm).
Please also note:In addition to the silver metal scrapper, there is a gold scrapper version of this pin. These have been sold in lots on Ebay recently and are popping up on cast member lanyards. The backstamps are the only real way to tell the differences between the fake and the authentic:
1. The fake has a smaller backstamp.
2. The fake's backstamp is NOT in a square box. It is within a combination of a smaller square on top & rectangular box beneath it.
3. The fake does have a gold waffle-style back, but the waffle print and the backstamps are all raised higher than the authentic pin. It looks very messy and cheap when compared to the smooth lines of the authentic.
4.The fake is a little bit thicker and heavier.
5.The button on dopey's shirt and the buckle on his belt, for the fake gold one, is the same color as the rest of his shirt, while the real one has a yellow button and buckle.
