Front Description
A very unique Star Wars pin collection which is believed to have been sold in Disneyland when Star Tours first opened. The five-pin boxed set features icons of the movie, two of which move (Chewbacca and R2D2).
A variety of processes were used for the set, from white enamel coating for the Stormtropper Helmet to black, to gold for Chewbacca to silver or pewter for the Tie-Fighter and R2D2.
The pins are mounted in a small display box with clear plastic cover. The Star Wars logo is on the side along with "5 PIECE PIN SET COLLECTORS'S EDITION." The box also has what appears to be an inventory sticker which reads, "J16148 - Star Wars Pin Collection." The Walt Disney Company SKU was on the box's backside.
Pins are 3/4" to 1" tall. There are no markings on the backs of any of the pins.
