Front Description
Eighth in a series of 10 marking milestones in Walt Disney's career. This celebrates the 1952 creation of Imagineering. The one is an aqua rectangle with gold lettering that reads "WED Imagineering."
Back of box reads: In 1952, a new creative group hung out its shingle on the Disney studio lot: WED Enterprises, named for the initials of its president, Walter Elias Disney. Formed to create Disneyland when traditional architecture designers failed to grasp Walt’s theme park concept, WED’s combined staff of artists and engineers inspired a new term, ‘imagineering.’ Having tackled everything from medieval castles and chanting tikis to innovative transportation systems and virtual reality, the organization today known as Walt Disney Imagineering holds true to its founder’s belief that “It’s kind of fun to do the impossible.”
