PP58982    Goofy Doing the Splits from Polymer Clay Series

Front Description

Goofy is one of at least four hand-painted pins made from, I believe, a polymer clay process. The polymer clay process was created in the 1930s, but used more predominantly on figurines and pin in the 1960s.

Goofy sits, facing forward, with legs spread wide and elbows on the ground in front of him, head in hands. He wears his traditional orange shirt, blue pants, brown shoes and green hat.

The pin measures 2 9/16" (65 mm) wide by 1 7/8" (48 mm) tall. The back is unpainted and is a pink color consistant with the polymer clay plastic process. The backstamp is, "© DISNEY, MADE IN CHINA."

Other pins in the series include (#67236), (#67238) and (#67239).
