Front Description
I don't know whether this is considered a series or a set, as the only time I've seen this type of thing listed is (#47723) which I also listed.
This is the retail display board and lapel pin collection for "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" when it first premiered in 1987. There are five pins in the series and they were sold from this free-standing sale board. Any time I've seen this display set shown, it has had 2 or 3 copies of Baby Herman, Bennie and Smart Weasel, with multiple copies of Roger and Jessica Rabbit filling out the board for a total of 24 pins.
The display itself is about 13 1/2" wide by 18 1/2" tall. Roger stands with his coat wide open, with pins attached to the inside of the coat.
Pins in the set include Roger Rabbit (#12961), Jessica Rabbit (#2487), Baby Herman (#2561), Bennie (#832) and Smart Weasel (#8401).
At the bottom of the display is the "© 1987 THE WALT DISNEY COMPANY AND AMBLIN ENTERTAINMENT, INC. OFFICIALLY LICENSED" and the movie's logo. The backstamps are: "© Disney/AMBLIN, Made in Taiwan." The pin holders are all old-style gold metal squeeze clasps.
It should be noted that four of the pins from this set - Jessica, Roger, Baby Herman and Benny - were also included on a promotional gift set (#43453) presented to certain Los Angeles radio stations to promote the film's release.
