Front Description
The 12-pin MAIN STREET GAZETTE: HERE'S THE SCOOP! pin-of-the-month series was released at WDW around the first of each month throughout 2008. The series features Mickey disguised as Scoop Sanderson, Magic Kingdom's Main Street Gazette reporter, experiencing classic Walt Disney World attractions. Each shaped pin contains a pin-on-pin element. The backs of the backer cards, printed to look like newsprint paper, share fun facts or trivia about each ride, as reported by Scoop. Rachael Sur from Disney Design Group created the artwork for this pin.
In this March pin (third of the series), Scoop (pin-on-pin element) reports from the Hollywood Tower Hotel, home of the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror at Hollywood Studios, where he's holding a ruler up to check the height of the ride. Rachael Sur from Disney Design Group created the artwork for this pin.
From the front of the card: THE SCOOP! HOLLYWOOD TOWER OF TERROR'S TALL TALE
From the back of the card: TALL TOWER TANTALIZES TOURISTS! The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror is the tallest attraction at the Walt Disney World Resort -- 199 feet high! So how is it that the Hollywood Tower Hotel has just 13 floors?! Disney Imagineers will only divulge that it's because the hotel is full of so many . . . "tall stories". And that's the scoop!
Rides in the series include Haunted Mansion, Expedition Everest, Tower of Terror, Mission: SPACE, Pirates of the Caribbean, Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, Star Tours, It's a Small World, Test Track, Soarin, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and Kilimanjaro Safaris.
