SEYMORE C TRADER was the name given to Steiff's event-exclusive teddy bear which was released at Disney's Teddy Bear & Doll Weekend (held on 30 Nov-2 Dec 2001 at EPCOT). He was marketed as "the cousin of Theodore P Trader who liked to trade trading cards). Seymore the Card-Trading Bear stands a proud 12" tall, has jointed arms and legs, and wears a backpack filled with four trading cards. (Each of the cards features one of the Steiff event bears from the previous four Teddy Bear & Doll conventions.) Seymore's fur is a 50% wool/50% cotton mohair blend, and the Steiff button is on his left ear. The majority of these bears has been signed (on the foot) by "Tweed Roosevelt", great-grandson of President Theodore Roosevelt and family historian. Seymore came with one removable pin which features his image and name. A special event pin (a Mickey doll on a rocking horse) was given to you with the purchase of a bear or doll at the show, but it was not part of the original bear set.
