Very early pin of Sneezy from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Sneezy is holding a handkerchief and he is turned so that we see his right profile.
This pin appears to be made of celluloid (one of the earliest plastics) and probably dates from the late 1930s or 1940s (the movie was released in 1937). I have seen somewhat similar pins of this apparent vintage which had paper labels specifically identifying them as Disney products; those labels tended to come off very easily as the adhesive dried out after many years. The pin mechanism is stamped "Japan."
Sneezy is about 1 5/8" tall x 1 1/8" wide (from the tip of his cap to the edge of his handkerchief).
