This Limited Edition pin commemorates the premiere of the first short starring Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Steamboat Willie. The pin features the cast from the short enjoying the classic film from inside a movie theater. Ron Cohee of the Disney Design Group created the original artwork for this pin.
This pin resembles an oldtime movie theatre, with red drapes/curtains above and on both sides of the movie screen showing the title sequence of the classic film short, Steamboat Willie. The lower pin-on-pin part features the audience sitting in their red theater chairs: a parrot/bird, a pig, Minnie & Mickey Mouse (the back of Mickey's head is a hidden Mickey), and Big Bad Pete - all characters from the Mickey Mouse Sound Cartoon, shown all in black & white. The top part of the pin says "~ 80th ~" and the backs of the seats says "Anniversary", both in white lettering.
This pin will be a shared release between Disneyland® Resort and Walt Disney World® Resort.
