Front Description
Mickey is one of a series of handcrafted pins made by the German company, Bully, and is a hard rubber or polymer design, hand-painted, with authentic Austrian Crystals added (according to the display card that came with the pin, originally).
Mickey is walking left with his face turned slightly over his left shoulder. His left arm "swings" behind him and his right arm is up and to the left; it holds a silver metal heart that is the dangle feature. He wears a white vest with black trim and buttons, black formal jacket, and black and white tennis shoes. The jewel elements include a red Austrian crystal as either a tie or a corsage flower, and there are two white Austrian crystal jewels - one for each ear. Mickey is white-faced and has a slight smile with red opening. The pin is a full figural.
The pin measures 1 1/2" (38 mm) wide by 1 3/4" (44 mm) tall. It has a silver metal straight-back clasp attached to Mickey's back; on the bottom of his right foot is "BULLY, W. GERMANY." On the bottom of his left foot is, "© DISNEY."
It is thought this and other pins in the series were converted from figurines and then sold. Other known pins in the series include a Baseball Goofy, a guitar-playing Rock Star Mickey, a Bullfighter Mickey and another Goofy.
