Front Description
This real glass cloisonné pin is the prototype of Pin 9455, sold in the Disney Gallery back in the 1990s. This pin is based on the original artwork of Brenda White, "Queen from Snow White", Hand-painted Charger, Edition of twenty-five, September 1989.
The prototype is the same size as the actual production version, 1.75 inches in diameter, and the front looks to be very similar to what was used in the actual production run.
Although it cannot be seen in the picture, the EQ's eyes are turquoise blue and the 'whites' of her eyes are a very light blue.
There are several differences between the prototype and the actual production run:
1) The shape of the front is not as convex.
2) The EQ is outlined in black, instead of dark silver.
3) The upper corner of right side the EQ's collar (shown on the left) is a bit more rounded than pointed.
4) The 'whites' of both eyes are smaller.
5) The right nostril in her nose is less pronounced.
6) The color finish on the back and around the edges looks to be distinctly darker, but this may be because the pebble-like surface is not as clearly pronounced as it is in Pin 9455.
7) The very dark silver finish on the rim extends a bit onto the face of the pin.
8) The pin itself is distinctly heavier than the actual production run.
9) There is a pendant loop center top of the back above the brooch-back.
10) The end of the clasp on the straight back that opens and closes is noticeably thicker.
11) The copyright information is smaller and a bit different. There is a small box lower center back containing three lines:
the

collection
And underneath the box, these two lines:

The pin was acquired from The Artist herself who retained control of the prototypes.
