Front Description
This real glass cloisonné pin is one of two known prototypes of Pin 9376. Unlike every other Brenda White pin, the design for this pin was not based on one of The Artist's beautiful high-end chargers. The design for this pin was done specifically for this pin which was released at a Christmas Event at Disneyland back in the 1990s.
The bag Santa Mickey is carrying is of a distinctly lighter shade of brown than the bag he is carrying in the other prototype (which was identical to the one used in the actual production run).
Like the other the prototype, this one is definitely a flat pin, whereas the actual production run was a distinctly convex pin. This difference in shape (flat versus convex) explains the slight size difference: this prototype is a bit over 1.75 inches in diameter while the actual production run is a bit under 1.75 inches in diameter.
There are several differences between the prototype and the actual production run:
a) The shape of the front is definitely flat.
b) Length of the clasp on back is longer (1.5- inches vs. 1.25-inches).
c) Clasp on the back is distinctly smaller.
d) Back of the pin has a distinctly sand-blast/pebble-like finish everyplace except inside the boxes containing the copyright information.
e) Copyright information is different.
Copyright information is inside a box located in the center of the lower half of the pin, below the straight-back that is located about a third of the way down from the top of the pin. This box is slightly recessed, and the information inside it is on top of the bottom of this recessed box, and this information is level with the back of the pin.
Inside another box, three lines:
the
BRENDA WHILE
collection
Text on each line centered horizontally inside this second box.
Centered underneath the second box:

Font sizes used are noticeably smaller than what was used in actual production run.
The pin was acquired from The Artist herself who retained control of the prototypes.
