These gold finished, limited edition pins commemorate the Japanese holiday Hinamatsuri, or Girl's Day. This holiday is on March 3rd. It is Japanese tradition to decorate a part of the house with a set of dolls. These pins are a depiction of the emperor, empress, and the ministers.

 

These pins come in a clear box. The pins are displayed with a cardboard background including plum blossoms and others decorations. The bottom of the box reads: 2009 (plum blossom) hinamatsuri.
