Front Description
This pin was originally part of a framed set offered exclusively to Cast Members. Produced for the 25th Anniversary of Walt Disney World and sold at Company D stores during the 25th anniversary in 1996. The 1st 25 anniversary pins were recreated in cloisonne. The originals were either plastic, buttons, or in one case, a ribbon.
This is predominantly a white pin with gold letting and highlights (contrary to what the picture shows). Mickey Mouse is wearing a birthday hat in front of a red silhouette of the castle. "Happy 17th Birthday" and the WDW Logo are above him in gold and "MICKEY'S BIRTHDAYLAND" is below in dark blue outlined in gold (the "I" in BIRTHDAYLAND is white and is a candle).
The pin measures 1 1/8" (29 mm) wide by 1 1/2" (38 mm) tall.
Note: As with all pins in this set, there is residue from doublestick tape or glue on the back of this pin, put by Disney to hold the pin in place on the matting of the framed set.
