Front Description
The Stegosaurus is one of at least seven pins released at Walt Disney World. It is unknown whether the series supported the Universe of Energy pavillion in Epcot, the original Countdown to Extinction ride in Animal Kingdom, or even the dinosaur-inspired game in DisneyQuest at Downtown Disney, but it is an older pin as it is found on the smaller 1 3/4" by 2 1/4" black sale display cards.
Stegosaurus is turned right, with it head looking forward and neck having the head close to the ground. It is a brown dinosaur with thick, rounded brown kite-shaped spikes across the top of its back, along with light brown spikes. The underbelly is a yellow or beige.
The pin as shown measures 1 1/2" (39 mm) wide by 7/8" (21 mm) tall. As with all the pins in this series, the backstamp is, "© PINS AND THINGS, Phone number, China." (Information from contacting Pins and Things reveals that the company is still used by Disney for pins, though they now use the Disney copyright on the back of the pins they supply.)
In real life, the Stegosaurus was about 30' (9 meters) long and 14' (4 meters) tall.
