Distributed to the press corps at the same event as Pinpics #726, this is 1 from a 5 pin set that commemorated the sponsorship by Chevron, of the newly refurbished Autopia attraction at Disneyland. For some reason, the res car is the most common and the other 4 in the set have proven difficult. Each pin came on a white, Chevron, pin backing card. The complete set consists of the red car, red station wagon, green SUV, taxi, and police car. Cast Members working the re-opening ceremonies of the Autopia attraction at Disneyland also received this pin.
These pins are not of "Autopia" cars. There is no Disney copyright anywhere on these pins. These are not Disney pins. They were, however, initially given out at DLR for the Autopia re-opening. They were also made available at other non-Disney events.
These type of cars are used in advertising and promotional items by Chevron. On the back of each pin is the #(1-5) and "Techron" (an additive used in gasoline products) and the Chevron logo.
