Front Description
The Walt Disney Family Museum opens its doors to the public on October 1, 2009 at 104 Montgomery Street in The Presidio of San Francisco, CA.
This pin, as well as, several other similar and different pins are the first pins issued and sold at the Museum Store during its pre-grand opening week, and will also be available for sale as open edition pins to the public.
This pin depicts the icon on the lower left corner of the museum's 9 square logo (#73211). It is rectangular in shape and is designed like a poster board for the museum. The top of Sleeping Beauty's castle is depicted in blue on white in a square in the upper half of this pin to represent the original Disneyland. Below this square in white letters on a blue background are the words: THE WALT DISNEY FAMILY MUSEUM.
The pin is framed in gold metal and the pin back has a gold inverted dot waffle pattern. There is one pin post at the top, and horizontally on one side of the back is a box with: "(c)2009 The Walt Disney Family Museum, LLC (c)Disney China."
The pin post cover is not the Mickey icon type, but a round black rubber cover like that of some of the older Disney pins.
The pin measures 3/4" x 1 1/2".
