This is a recognition pin given to cast members of The Walt Disney Travel Company in Anaheim for being a top performer for the month. "MAGIC Measures" is the term for Disney’s performance scale that the WDTC cast members are rated on:
M – Make the reservation
A – Add personal service
G – Great guest service
I – Inform & educate guest on services
C – Customize package
This pin is a reflection of Disneyland's New Orleans Square. There is a white-background vintage Disneyland (resort) marquee sign on the bottom of the pin. Only the first "D" is on a yellow background. At the very bottom of the sign/pin it reads "MAGIC Measures 2009" with a yellow background. At the very beginning (left side) and the very end (right side) of the marquee sign there is a small flag or banner flying from a tall pole - the flag on the left side is red and the flag on the right side is blue. The flags are flying towards the left.
Above the marquee sign is a red banner which reads "New Orleans Square." Atop that banner are (left to right) a skeleton pirate with a white bird nesting in his hat, a black pirate flag with white skull and crossed swords and a hitchhiking Ezra from the Haunted Mansion.
The pin is gold metal with a cross-hatch design on the back and one post. In a box on the back it reads:

This pin measures 1 and 5/8" tall by 1 and 3/4" wide.
Personal Observation: Between October, 2006 and June, 2007 there were eight cast pins of the month at DLR that each reflected a different land at the Disneyland Resort. (Please refer to Pins 49940, 51446, 52082, 52520, 53145, 53637, 54165 and 54956.) The artwork on Pin 49940: DLR Cast Exclusive - Pin of the Month (October 2006) New Orleans Square is very reminiscent of the artwork on the pin listed here. It is possible that there may be eight different MAGIC Measures award pins this year and that this year's MAGIC Measures award pins may mirror the eight pins referenced above.
This pin has been confirmed as a Walt Disney Travel Company pin. It is awarded for different service measures within the department. There is a pin for each land, which would match with previous sets of these pins.
