Front Description
One of six pins from the Black Cauldron set of Hidden Mickey pins in the second series that was released in Disneyland. Each of the pins features a different Disney character in front of a black cauldron. The small Hidden Mickey icon is in different places on the pins. Pins were originally only available by trading with a cast member. In 2010, pouches containing two random 2010 Hidden Mickey pins were available to purchase for $10.95.
This pin features Taran from Disney's animated film Black Cauldron, in front of a black cauldron with claw feet, holding a sword. A small Hidden Mickey icon is located on the bottom of the pin.
Common: Taran, Princess Eilonwy, Dallben, Hen Wen, Horned King
Completer: Gurgi
Scrapper Info:
The fake one has decidedly redder hair.
Also the fake one is not as thick as the real one. The official pin trading stamp has a bit of an odd mickey head on it because the ears narrow too much where they meet the base of the head. Another minute detail that I noticed concerns the leftmost finger on his hand. The real one has a roundish fingertip and the fake one has an extremely square fingertip.
In addition, the real one is the brownish green one. The nubs are smaller and close to the stem as they should be and the pin is thicker than the reddish brown one with the reddish hair. Also the lettering on the back of the thicker pin is much clearer and distinct. The picture is the real pin w/ the darker hair
