Front Description
Round, all gold pin features Jiminy Cricket standing in a center circle which is radiating "rays of light", giving it an irregular edge. He's holding his umbrella out in his left hand, his head turned in profile facing right. Around the top of the circle reads "OFFICIAL CONSCIENCE MEDAL". Jiminy stands between the words "JIMINY" and "CRICKET" written on a banner behind his knees, and between his feet says "©W.D.P.".
18Kt gold plate pin measures 1¼" in diameter, designed in a "pressed" fashion much like a bottle cap. The clasp is similar to a safety pin. Backstamped with "ROBBINS CO." along the top edge of Jiminy's face.
This pin was obtained as a Pinocchio Candy Bar premium by redeeming 5 wrappers and 10¢. Wrapper states, "BOYS! GIRLS! Get a JIMINY CRICKET OFFICIAL CONSCIENCE MEDAL. Think of it! A beautiful, 18 Kt Gold Plate, JIMINY CRICKET OFFICIAL CONSCIENCE MEDAL, exactly like the Blue Fairy gave JIMINY CRICKET." Wrapper is marked "©1940 Walt Disney Productions".
