Front Description
The designer of this pin clearly loved the Alice character from AiW, for the images of Alice are very accurate. Alice is shown in her trademarked blue dress and white apron facing partially left but looking forward. Behind Alice is a panel showing line sketches of her face.
The background panel of this pin is two-toned, split on the diagonal. And in each section of the background there are sketches of Alice's face in different sizes, each facing in a different direction, drawn in the color of the opposite background tone.
The muted tones of the background colors gives the impression that the center Alice figure featured in front is actually a 3D element, but this is not the case. The center Alice figure is just in front of the background, but the richer more vibrant colors of this center figure gives the illusion that there is some space between the back of the character and the background.
