Front Description
The designer of this pin clearly loved the Cheshire Cat character from AiW, for the images of Cheshire are very accurate. The Cheshire Cat is shown lounging with his trademarked grin, right paw above its head pointing to the left, resting the left side of its face on its right paw. Behind Cheshire is a panel showing line sketches of his face.
The background panel of this pin is two-toned, split on the diagonal. And in each section of the background there are sketches of Cheshire's face in different sizes, each facing in a different direction, drawn in the color of the opposite background tone.
The muted tones of the background colors gives the impression that the center Cheshire figure featured in front is actually a 3D element, but this is not the case. The center Cheshire figure is just in front of the background, but the richer more vibrant colors of this center figure gives the illusion that there is some space between the back of the character and the background.
