PP77843    Brier Manufacturing - Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs Hand-Painted Set (Bashful)

Front Description

Bashful is one of the first pins created by Disney for one of their full-length movies. It was manufactured by Brier Manufacturing Co. in 1938 as part of a set (#68955) in connection with the release of Disney's first full-length animated film, "Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs."

Bashful (Tomart's AA0075) faces left, his hands on his waist. He is painted with an orange coat and black hat, shoes and belt. He also has a red nose. His white beard sticks out to the left. His name is written at the base of the pin.

The dwarf measures approximately 1 1/8" (29 mm) tall and 5/8" (15 mm) wide. The back has a simple pin clasp; there is also a very simple copyright of "© WD" on the reverse.

It should be noted that with all the pins of this set, the pins were cast and then hand-painted. Because of this, there will be a great variety in the detail of each pin, though the color scheme should be the same.
