PP77846    Brier Manufacturing - Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs Hand-Painted Set (Happy)

Front Description

Happy is one of the first pins created by Disney for one of their full-length movies. It was manufactured by Brier Manufacturing Co. in 1938 as part of a set (#68955) in connection with the release of Disney's first full-length animated film, "Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs."

Happy (Tomart's AA0072) faces left and toward the back, as if he was looking over his left shoulder. His hands are on his belly. His coat is painted red with green hat and shoes and black belt. He also has a red nose and smile. His name is written at the base of the pin in black.

The dwarf measures approximately 1 1/8" (28 mm) tall and 5/8" (15 mm) wide. The back has a simple pin clasp; there is also a very simple copyright of "© WD" on the reverse.

It should be noted that with all the pins of this set, the pins were cast and then hand-painted. Because of this, there will be a great variety in the detail of each pin, though the color scheme should be the same.
