Front Description
Matador Mickey Mouse is one of at least five pins in a series. The eccentrically-designed hand-painted pin came mounted on a large black embossed sale card that states, "Handcrafted and Made in Germany, Authentic Austrian Crystals." That said, some of the packaging seems primitive, and given that Bully produced many figurines, it is likely someone converted them into pins and then marketed them.
Mickey stands slightly right, head turned to the left. He is dressed in a gold with blue-trim painted matador uniform, with pink socks, black hat and shoes, and black trim at the top of his jacket. He holds the hat in his right hand and a red cape in his left.
Throughout his design are white/clear jewels (advertised as Austrian crystals). They are found on Mickey's forehead, left ear, cape, shoes, hat and front of shirt.
A gold straight back clasp is screwed onto the back. The pin measures 3" (76 mm) tall and 3 1/8" (79 mm) wide. There are markings of each shoe bottom: "© DISNEY, MADE IN GERMANY" and "CE BULLYLAND, HANDPAINTED" and the number "2."
