Front Description
This pin was given to all guests attending a jointly sponsored D23/DVC reception to introduce the new Disney Aulani Resort in Hawaii. The event on June 30th was held in the North Ballroom at the Disneyland Hotel at DLR/DCA with appetizers, and entertainment, as well as, photo opportunities with Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy. There will be similar events held at WDW for D23 and AP members. The gift pin to be handed out at the other receptions is yet unknown.
This pin features Mickey Mouse wearing a Hawaiian shirt and a lei around his neck. He is lying in a hammock tied between to palm trees with a yellow sunset on the ocean in the background. Over the sunset between the tops of the two trees is the Disney Vacation Club logo. On the ground below Mickey's hammock are a variety of colorful tropical flowers and a couple of pineapples.
The pin was given in a small plastic zipper lock bag with no tags or labels, hence no SKU# and being a gift it has no price.
This pin was also given to the attendees of the DVC presenation on the Aulani Resort at the Disneyland Hotel in the days following the D23 event.
As assumed, the pin was given out tonight (7/18) at the D23/DVC Event at Walt Disney World.
Back Description
The back of the pin has a gold Mickey icon waffle pattern with two pin posts vertically placed. Below the top post is the Official Disney 2010 Pin Trading logo and to the right of that is the Disney Vacation Club logo. Below that is a box that reads: "Produced Exclusively for Disney Vacation Club," and just below that is has ©Disney China.
