Mickey's of Glendale has released this pin as a Special Events addition to its exclusive ongoing Sorcerer Hats Mystery Pin Collection series utilizing the sorcerer hat (a symbol for Walt Disney Imagineering) as a blank canvas for creative and unique designs that commemorate a special Disney event. This pin is sold on a green Special Events backer card and is therefore no mystery.
This pin is a commemorative for the 5th Anniversary of the opening of Hong Kong Disneyland. It was released at an event at WDI's Mickey of Glendale only to Cast Members and their guests.
The pin features the castle at Hong Kong Disneyland. The Castle walls are pink with blue spiral roofs against a light blue sky. The walkway across the moat is of brown boards and extends into the brim of the pin's hat format. The area around the castle is landscaped in green and gold. At the entranceway is has "Hong Kong Disneyland" and on the brim of the hat format before the boardwalk it has: "5th Anniversary."
The back of the pin has two posts on a gold Sorcerer Hat waffle pattern (the symbol of WDI). Between the posts is the following:
