Front Description
First off, this is definitely not The Cohn & Rosenberger pin from 1933-36 (Tomarts AA0040) (#11376) or (#20788). It is similar in pose, however, though the paint job is extremely primitive in nature. It is a gold-colored pin.
Mickey Mouse faces right, arms extended to the right. He is white with black and dressed in red shorts and shoes.
If it is a legitimate pin, it is very crude in its construction...but then, some early Disney pins are. If it's not legitimate, it's a knock-off of one of the earliest of Disney pins. Included as it was purchased on the open market, and because I have seen other Mickey pins with poorly-painted designs listed. Purchased from someone in Canada.
The pin measures 1 1/4" (31 mm) tall by 1 1/4" (32 mm) wide. The back has no markings and it is attached by what looks like a modified safety pin.
