Front Description
A larger plastic pin, this is part of a series of pins released in the 1980s by Monogram Products for Disney, celebrating Mickey next to various letters.
Mickey (left facing slightly right but head turned forward, legs crossed) is dressed in a casual 1980s type of dress: untucked white t-shirt with yellow-orange untucked shirt over (sleeves rolled up slightly) and blue pants or jeans, along with a pair of white shoes. His right hand is in his pant pocket; his left hand rests on the letter G with a thumb up (thumb's up) position). Beside him at right is a letter G. The initial is red with slight black border. The plastic used is white; it has a tendency to dull or grow yellowish over time.
The pin itself measures 1 5/8" wide (43 mm) by 1 7/8" (48 mm) tall.
The back of the pin has a simplified brooch-style straight back pinback glued to the pin (a norm for Monogram pins back then). The backstamp is, "© THE WALT DISNEY COMPANY, MFG BY, MONOGRAM PRODUCTS, INC., LARGO, FLORIDA 34643, MADE IN ST. LUCIA. The pin was sold on a black sale card labeled "Fashion Pin."
Note: It appears that the same SKU number was used for all (or at least many of) the pins in this series.
