Front Description
This, it is believed, is the "logo" pin for a series of Civil War pins released during the Lions Club 2001 Convention in Indianapolis, Ind. A series of Mickey Mouse vs. Donald Duck Union soldier vs. Confederate soldier pins were released, showing various battles of the Civil War. As there was no Indianapolis battle during the Civil War (but the convention was held there in 2001), it makes sense this is the commemorative pin for the convention.
Because this is a pin that had to represent both sides of the Civil War, Donald Duck (facing left) is dressed in a light gray Confederate artillery uniform with orange trim for his pants and cap, but is wearing Union blue for this top. He is wearing a black sword belt and black boots. He carries an infantry rifle with bayonett. He is charging with an angry expression on his face. The Lions Club logo is above Donald's bayonett blade.
Below Donald in gold on black is a rectangle with "INDIANAPOLIS CAMPAIGN 2001." This is similar in design to all the pins in the set (showing the battle).
As with all Lions Club pins, there are no markings on the back this double post pin.
