Disney originally announced a scheduled release date of 5 Dec 2001 (Walt's birthday anniversary) for this pin but decided to actually release it at the Downtown Disney CHRISTMASTIME IN THE CITY pin event on 15 Dec 2001. This metal pin features a photo of Walt Disney inside a frame edged with 11 classic Mickeys in various poses. It appears that Mickey Mouse is in a good mood and jumping for joy. The pose at the top is Mickey with his arms spread wide and wearing a joyous expression on his face.

 

Note: 2 Dec 2001 DizneyPins.com report: Previously reported that an LE 7500 Birthday pin would be released on Dec 5. WDW has changed their minds, and this pin (shown here) will be released on Dec.15 (at the Christmastime in the City event). An open-edition version will be released on Dec. 5. The OE pin released in its place is PP8467.
