This pin came on the backpack of Seymore. This bear, along with pin, sold at the 2001 WDW Teddy Bear and Doll Convention for $275.
So now this year we have another bear, and his name is Seymour C. Trader. He is a trading card trader bear. He is a cousin to Theodore P. Trader from last year. The bear, produced by the world reknowned Steiff Company was limited to 1500 bears.
He comes with a backpack complete with trading cards inside designed by Steiff. However...on his back pack was this special pin that was designed exclusively for him, making him even more desirable now, to three separate groups.... Steiff bear collectors, Disney pin collectors, and now trading card collectors.
According to the information some have received, the edition sizes on the bears were 1000, 25, and 5 for the three available sizes in 2001. But that pre-event information turned out wrong, the largest edition actually was issued as 1500 bears.
