PP9125    WDW - Mickey Mouse - Reedy Creek - Customer Satisfaction - Cast

Front Description

Reedy Creek is short for the Reedy Creek Improvment District, the autonomous government entity set up by agreement between the State of Florida and Disney prior to the park construction in the late 1960's. Reedy Creek, while a governmental entity, is also staffed by Disney employees and is essentially an arm of Disney. This pin is awarded to those psuedo Cast Members who go above and beyond in assisting guests with their various needs and requests. Like any government, Reedy Creek has employees that deal with sanitation, security, fire, etc., and thus they do have interaction with the guests. According to the source of this pin, it is retired as Disney no longer wanted the use of Mickey and lightning bolts. I am unsure of the date of origination for this pin.
