PP9129    Disneyland Cast Member American Egg House Sponsor Pin

Front Description

This pin dates from the between 1978 and 1983. Disney has always utilized sponsors to defray the costs associated with the parks and throughout the years the promotion of these outside companies has diminished greatly. When Disneyland opened in 1955, this was the Maxwell House Coffee House, and by 1958 it had become the Hills Brothers Coffee House. That was destined to change, and by 1978 it was replaced with the American Egg House. In 1983, and until its closure in 1993, the restaurant, which was full service and specialized in breakfast, was known as the Town Square Cafe. This pin was worn by the Cast Members who worked at this location from 1978-1983 when it was known as the American Egg House.
