PP9130    Disneyland Cast Member Dole Pineapple Sponsor Pin

This pin dates from the between 1978 and 1983. Disney has always utilized sponsors to defray

the costs associated with the parks and throughout the years the promotion of these outside

companies has diminished greatly. Dole took over the sponsorship of the Tiki Room from United Airlines in 1976. In addition, Dole products like the famous "Dole Whip" are sold at a stand near the Tiki Room in Adventureland. This pin was worn by employees in the late 1970's and early 1980's that worked at the Dole sponsored attractions and establishments.
