D23 Presents The Treasures of the Walt Disney Archives with this special Opening Day logo pin sold in the gift shop of the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, CA. The pins were released on the special preview event evening on June 30, 2012. This pin features the logo of the Treasures of the Walt Disney Archives exhibit that will be open to the public from July 6, 2012 thru April, 2013. Standing on either side of the logo on this pin is the black and white Steamboat Willie on the left and the modern full color Mickey Mouse on the right. The red banner above the logo reads "OPENING DAY * JULY 6, 2012. The logo background is white with the words "D23 Presents" in small type above a large multi-colored word "TREASURES" below which in small type it reads "of the" followed by "Walt Disney" in signature format below which is the word "Archives" in black letters followed by a horizontal line and then in black caps the words "THE REAGAN LIBRARY."
This pin measures approx. 1 7/8" wide by 1" high, and is similar to the special Preview Day pin #91369. With the preview day and this opening day pin (#91370) there are 4 pins in this series (91371 = Fab 5 & #91374 = Seven Dwarfs).
Back Description
The pin back has two posts positioned vertically top and bottom center on a gold sandblasted pebble finish background. Below the upper post it has the D23 logo followed by the words: "Limited Edition 2600, ©Disney, MADE IN CHINA."
