Front Description
This pin features the Evil Queen from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs enclosed in a burnt orange oval. Her golden crown is large and extends beyond the oval. Her gold cape closure extends off the bottom of the pin.
This pin comes in a storybook resembling that of "The Big Little Book". The cover reads "Walt Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" and features Snow White with the Seven Dwarfs surrounding her. The side of the book reads "Walt Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Authorized Edition" with a picture of the Evil Queen and the number "1460" at the bottom. The back of the book depicts the Old Hag being attacked by birds with apples on the ground.
The inside cover of the book reads "In 1933, Disney began licensing its characters to Whitman Publishing to create merchandise, including Big Little Books, which later became Better Little Books. In the days before comic books, children exchanged Better Little Books-which were a few inches tall, sold for 10 cents each, and included hundreds of pages of text and black-and-white illustrations-with their friends. While most of the Disney-themed subjects were original stories featuring Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and Pluto, several of the Better Little Books told the stories of classic Disney animated features, including Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Pinocchio, Dumbo, and Bambi." -Walt Disney Archives Collection.
The pin is located on the inner right hand side of the book. It also comes mounted on a black felt card that reads "ILS 93-6150-36 June 2012" on the back. Pin measures 1-3/4 x 3 inches.
