Designed by artist Mary Beth Burchardt, this gorgeous Cinderella pin features hundreds of clear and sky blue Austrian crystals. Marked with the designers MBB heart and the © Disney, this brooch was created to commemorate Cinderella's movie debut on February 15, 1950. Made in 1993 and presented by Disney Originals, it was sold at Disneyland. Each crystal is individually set, with sky blue crystals on the bodice and skirt, with white crystals accenting the sleeves, skirt, and (of course) her shoe. Cinderella has deep blue crystal eyes, and is wearing tiny pearl earrings. She is posed as she is in the movie when her Fairy Godmother transforms the rags of the pink dress into the beautiful blue ball gown. Brooch measures 2.75" tall by 1.5" wide, and plated in 24kt gold.
This collectors piece would most appropriately be described as jewelry. Features brooch-style backing.
[June 2013 comment: This was done in 1993 to commemorate various movies, each movie represented by one character from the movie and the quantity of the edition was limited to the year in which the movie was originally released. For example, this stunning Cinderella is limited to 1950, Peter Pan is represented by Tinkerbell (pinpics 18590), was limited to 1953, and so on.]
